County Commissioners to affirm realignment of Board leadership

Douglas County LogoAt the Tuesday, April 27 Board of Douglas County Commissioners Business Meeting, the Board will consider a resolution Revising Certain Appointments of the Board of County Commissioners.

The Board of Douglas County Commissioners determined it to be in the best interest of those it collectively serves to realign the leadership of the Board.

The Board is committed to governing with excellence. As set forth in the Board’s Policy Manual and Code of Conduct, each commissioner commits to several high standards, including ethical and business-like conduct, respecting the legitimacy of majority decisions, and ensuring integrity.

Because governing with excellence is so critical to Douglas County, the Board, through its policy manual, gives itself broad powers to “enforce upon itself whatever discipline is needed to govern with excellence.”

This realignment will provide the continuity of service and excellence in government expected in Douglas County and the Board looks forward to working together in this time of transition.
