In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, all Douglas County offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 on our online services page.

Don’t miss your chance to experience Colorado’s rich past firsthand at the 2023 International Archaeology Day Expo from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater, 18300 W. Alameda Parkway in Morrison.
There are experiences for people of all ages, allowing you to interact and connect with working archaeologists and historians, see exhibits, take on-site tours and learn about the incredible history and culture of Colorado.
