Do you have old electronics lying around that you don’t know what to do with? There are resources to safely dispose of this waste here in Douglas County.
Bring your old electronics, also known as e-waste, to the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 500 Fairgrounds Road in Castle Rock, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9. To limit wait times, participants must reserve a drop-off time online in advance. Because this is a free service for residents, proof of Douglas County residency will be required at the site
If you can’t make the Saturday event, weekday e-waste disposal is still available for free to Douglas County residents through the PedalPoint Lifecycle Solutions site in Aurora. For a list of acceptable items at both sites, please visit our website. This event is for e-waste only!
When not disposed of or recycled correctly, e-waste becomes a threat to our health and our environment. Together, we can safeguard our families, protect water quality, conserve landfill space, and reduce illegal dumping. For other disposal resources, visit our webpage.
