In observance of Christmas, all Douglas County offices will close at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and will be closed for the entire day on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.

Start off at Roxborough Intermediate School with hands-on exploration. While there pick up a schedule and directions for off-site activities like tours of the Lamb Spring Archaeological Preserve and the Miksch-Helmer Cabin, a rare example of pioneer log architecture in Douglas County.
Parking in the vicinity of this event is limited. If you live within walking distance of the Roxborough Intermediate School we encourage you to enjoy the walk to the event with your friends, family and neighbors, if you are able.
