In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, all Douglas County offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 on our online services page.
Join Douglas County Land Conservatory for our August mountain bike ride! We are expanding the mountain bike program this year and will be offering a guided ride at a different open space each month. This ride at Dawson Butte Open Space is suitable for any level of rider. Please arrive 15 minutes early for check-in and safety check of helmet and bike (you must wear a helmet to participate!) Other gear you may want: knee-high socks, knee and elbow pads, sunglasses, water in a riding backpack, and gloves. Registration is limited. The ride is open to 15 years and up.
