In observance of the New Year, all Douglas County offices will be closed for on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.
The Town of Castle Rock is planning transportation improvements to the Four Corners intersection, located approximately two miles east of Downtown. Increasing traffic at this intersection of Founders Parkway, Fifth Street, State Highway 86, and Ridge Road is causing safety and congestion concerns and there is a need to better accommodate bicyclists and pedestrians. Community members will have the opportunity to view the preliminary design and provide comments at an online open house. Feedback will be used to optimize improvements and minimize impacts as the design is finalized. Final design is expected to be complete in early 2022.
