By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open fires, open burning, and the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County.
In observance of the New Year, all Douglas County offices will be closed for on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.
The Douglas County Open Space Advisory Committee will hold its Regular Meeting, in person and remotely, on Thursday, September 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Phillip S. Miller Building, 100 Third Street, Conference Rooms A & B in Castle Rock.
