By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open fires, open burning, and the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County.
In observance of the New Year, all Douglas County offices will be closed for on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.
The County Open Space Advisory Committee will hold an in-person only meeting beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, at the South Ridge Recreation Center. To view the agenda please click here. Visit the COSAC page to learn more. (This meeting may exceed one hour.)
