Expect delays on Business Center Drive in Highlands Ranch

Do you travel near Quebec and C-470 in Highlands Ranch? We want you to know we are planning road construction along Business Center Drive the week of Douglas County School District’s fall break, Oct. 14-23.

Business Center Drive, between Quebec Street and Poplar Way, is being reconstructed to repair damage from deicer. Phase 2, which will be the middle section of the roadway, will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, and is expected to be complete by 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.

One lane in each direction and business access will remain open, however left turns will not be permitted because the middle section of the roadway will be closed. Delays are expected.

What to expect during construction:

The work is being planned during fall break because this road is the only access to Sky View Academy. However, cold or wet weather can impact construction schedules. Stay updated by signing up for emails at douglas.co.us. Scroll down and click “sign up now.” Choose “Cone Zone/Road Work.”

This phase of construction is expected to take about one week.  Phase 1 of the project occurred on the north side of the road last year. Phase 3 will occur after school gets out for the summer in 2023.

A safe and accessible multimodal transportation network is one of the Board of County Commissioner’s six core priorities. Read more about the County’s transportation initiatives online.
