Fallen service members to be honored

Douglas County is home to three ceremonies this Memorial Day

A time to pay respects to all the service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving their country, Memorial Day will be May 27 this year.

There are four ceremonies in Douglas County, as well as one at nearby Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver, where people will have the opportunity this Memorial Day to honor those who lost their lives while fighting for freedom:

  • Castle Rock: 10 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 880 E. Wolfensberger Rd.
  • Denver: 11 a.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave.
  • Highlands Ranch: 11:45 a.m at Highlands Ranch Veterans Monument, 92992 S. Ridgeline Blvd.
  • Parker: 10 a.m. at JS Parker Cemetery, 10375 S. Parker Rd.
  • Sedalia: 11 a.m. at St. Philip in the Field, 397 S. Perry Park Rd.
