Federally funded assistance programs continue to operate without disruption in Douglas County

No changes to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Child Care Assistance Benefits in Colorado at this time

The Douglas County Department of Human Services is aware of recent questions regarding the status of federal funding for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program and Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP). We want to reassure clients, partners, and the public that Colorado’s TANF program remains operational and services continue without interruption.

Colorado is working quickly and collaboratively with the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) to address recent inquiries and to provide assurance that the TANF program is being administered in full compliance with all federal rules and requirements. This work includes reviewing documentation, confirming program operations, and responding promptly to federal requests.

At this time, there is no change to eligibility, benefits, or services for families who rely on TANF. Clients should continue to apply for and receive benefits as usual.

Colorado remains committed to responsible stewardship of federal funds and to supporting families as they work toward stability and self-sufficiency. We will continue to keep stakeholders informed and will share updates if new information becomes available.
