Utility relocation is a major part of the US 85 widening project. For example, more than 221,853 feet of conduit will be installed. Utility work this weekend will require a closure of Town Center Drive.
Is Town Center Drive your access to US 85 (Santa Fe Drive)? Please read this update.
Town Center Drive will be fully closed between Commerce Center Street and US 85 (Santa Fe Drive) in Highlands Ranch from 8 p.m. Friday, March 31, until 5 a.m. Monday, April 3. A detour will be in place for Town Center Drive. US 85 will not be impacted during this closure.
This closure will allow crews to safely remove and replace the existing underground utilities beneath Town Center Drive along US 85. This extended closure will eliminate the need for more than a month of daytime and nighttime closures as part of the US 85 widening project to improve safety and mobility along this vital corridor from Highlands Ranch Parkway to just north of C-470.
Please give yourself extra time and pay attention to posted speed limits and signage.
If weather conditions do not allow this work to take place as scheduled, crews will conduct this work at a later date.
Expect daytime single lane closures throughout the week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. as needed. Please watch for crews, drive the speed limit and avoid distracted driving.
