Help shape the future of the Douglas County Health Department. Join the Board of Health.

County seeks four candidates to serve as alternate Board of Health members.

Are you a resident of Douglas County with a passion for public health and a heart for serving your community?

Please consider applying for one of four vacant alternate member positions on the Douglas County Board of Health. Online applications must be received by Friday, Feb. 25, 2022.

In addition to the county residency requirement, ideal candidates for the four positions will have related expertise in areas such as: public health; environmental health; medicine/nursing; health promotion/health education; mental health/social work; education; community advocacy; and public policy.

Alternate Board of Health members may vote on Douglas County Health Department matters only in the absence of the Board of Health member for whom they have been designated as an alternate. Alternate terms will coincide with the Board of Health member to whom they have been so designated.
