Over the past year, we’ve been working with residents, community groups and local leaders to shape the 2050 Douglas County Transportation Plan (DCTP). This plan lays out a vision for how we’ll invest in roads, trails, transit and other transportation improvements over the next 25 years.
Thanks to your input, we’ve already made great progress. Now, we’re asking for your feedback on the draft plan to make sure it reflects what matters most to you.
How You’ve Helped So Far
We’ve heard from thousands of you through:
Your feedback helped shape the plan’s five core goals: resilient network, service to all users, safety, efficient movement and sustainability. It also guided how we prioritized projects and identified the biggest transportation challenges facing our communities.
What’s in the Plan
How to Participate: Residents, commuters and stakeholders are encouraged to review the draft plan and share their feedback by visiting our 2050 Transportation Plan webpage. Public comments will be accepted through Saturday, Nov. 15.
About the 2050 DCTP: The 2050 DCTP builds on the County’s 2040 Comprehensive Master Plan and integrates land use, environmental stewardship and economic development goals. It includes over 180 proposed projects and programs, prioritized by urgency and community impact.
