Wildfires are the No. 1 natural hazard for everyone in Douglas County. Now, there’s a tool for you to be aware of the risk at your home or business to make the best choices about mitigation.

Douglas County’s new Wildfire Mitigation map is interactive.  Just enter your address and see the risk of wildfire at and near your property including basic information about your wildfire management district.

Watch the video above to see how it works.

Once you have the information you need, visit our wildfire mitigation web page to learn what actions you can take to improve the safety of your home, property and community.

As an additional level of protection, you can also sign up every member of your family with a phone line for CodeRED emergency notifications.  This is the fastest and easiest way to ensure you receive emergency alerts in the event of a widespread disaster.
