In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, all Douglas County offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 on our online services page.

Check out a free day of learning and natural beauty with your family at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater on International Archaeology Day 2025, 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, 18300 W. Alameda Parkway in Morrison.
There are experiences for people of all ages, allowing you to interact and connect with working archaeologists and historians, see exhibits, take on-site tours and learn about the incredible history and culture of Colorado.
