Float a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard at the Rueter-Hess Reservoir this summer. Paddle Days will be held Fridays through Sundays, May 27–Sept. 4, 2022.

Reservations are required for each person entering the reservoir, regardless of activity. You can register now for May and June Paddle Days. Registration for July, August, and September will open one week prior to the first of the month. Entrance is $15 per person.

Each registrant will be required to create a CivicRec account. If you don’t already have a CivicRec or South Suburban account, click the “create” account link on the top left corner of the registration page.

The Rueter-Hess Reservoir is located on Hess Road, one mile east of I-25 at the Castle Pines Parkway exit. The reservoir is owned by the Parker Water Sanitation District for purposes of providing drinking water storage. The Rueter-Hess Recreational Authority (RHRA) is a partnership that provides recreational opportunities for the public at the Rueter-Hess Reservoir.

The partnership includes the cities of Castle Pines and Lone Tree, the Towns of Castle Rock and Parker, Douglas County and the Parker Water & Sanitation District. For 2022, the RHRA contracted with South Suburban Park and Recreation District to manage and provide recreational programming and services on behalf of the RHRA.
