Rueter-Hess Permitting For Pavilion Rental, Special Use or Concession

If you plan to host an event or sell products at Rueter-Hess Reservoir, you will need to apply for one of two permits:

A Special Event or Special Use Permit is required for any groups or organizations that intend to host an event on Rueter-Hess property. Special Use events may require additional items, that include but are not limited to, park staff, restroom facilities, trash receptacles and fences. Douglas County and Rueter-Hess Recreation reserves the right to mandate these additional items based on event size and location. Please coordinate with staff regarding the quantity and location of additional items required for your events. Douglas County does not provide or maintain any additional items. It is the user’s responsibility to pick up and remove all trash and re-stock supplies throughout the event.
Special Use events may require traffic control. Please contact Douglas County Sheriff’s Office at 303-660-7500 to determine if it will be necessary to hire Sheriff staff to direct traffic, etc. Certificate of insurance is required.
A Concession Permit is required for any vendors who intend to sell or rent items at Rueter-Hess property. Douglas County does not provide or maintain any additional items. It is the user’s responsibility to pick up trash and re-stock supplies daily at the property. Certificate of insurance is required
