Ramp Closure Update Nov. 3:
Your access at US 85 and C-470 will be open this weekend. Previously scheduled ramp closures have been postponed due to unresolved utility conflicts. Please stay tuned for updates.
Give yourself extra time to drive C-470 to and from US 85 (Santa Fe Drive) in Highlands Ranch during upcoming weekend-long ramp closures. To ensure driver and worker safety during bridge and ramp reconstruction work, the following closures, requiring detours, will be in place:
- Eastbound C-470 off-ramp to US 85 from 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 6
- Detour: Eastbound off-ramp traffic will continue east on C-470 and exit on Lucent Boulevard (Exit 18), use the westbound C-470 on-ramp and then take the US 85 (Exit 16) off-ramp to access US 85.
- Westbound C-470 on-ramp from US 85 from 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, through 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13
- Detour: Westbound C-470 traffic will first go eastbound on C-470 and exit on Lucent Boulevard (Exit 18). Turn left and access C-470 at Lucent Boulevard.
During these closures, crews will remove asphalt and pave new asphalt on the on- and off-ramps at C-470 and perform embankment and wall construction to complete a major portion of a new US 85 bridge. The work is a key milestone in the project to widen US 85 from Highlands Ranch Parkway to just north of C-470 and improve traffic flow at several intersections, including this interchange.
Please take an alternate route or plan extra time. Please watch for crews, heed the speed limit, and avoid distracted driving in the work zone.
If weather conditions do not allow this work to take place as originally scheduled, crews will conduct this work at a later date.
