The first snow of the season could arrive as soon as today, Thursday, Oct. 14, in the I-25 South Gap construction zone along I-25 between Castle Rock and Monument. Here are some helpful reminders to prepare you for the winter driving season ahead:

Remember – high speeds and following too closely are the leading causes of crashes in the I-25 South Gap corridor. Crews and first responders depend on you to follow posted speeds and leave plenty of space between you and the vehicle ahead of you, especially in severe weather conditions. Throughout the duration of a storm, use CDOT’s Facebook pageTwitter accountcotrip.org and 511 for information on roadway conditions.
