If you’ve walked or biked anywhere along the 45-mile Cherry Creek Trail, you have experienced its beauty and the benefits of its connectivity. In spring 2023, access to this regional trail will increase with a new, half-mile concrete trail through Hidden Mesa Open Space in eastern Douglas County.
To serve the recreational needs of families with small children, persons with disabilities, and the aging population, the Farm Lane Trail in Hidden Mesa Open Space will be reconstructed from a soft-surface trail to an 8-foot wide, concrete trail.
To safely complete this work, the Farm Lane Trail will be closed starting Thursday, May 4, for the duration of the project, which is expected to be completed before the end of May.
The Farm Lane Trail connects Hidden Mesa’s eastern entrance off Parker Road (the Highway 83 Trailhead) to the Cherry Creek Trail.
