Renovated Douglas County Recording Office reopens next week for Recording, Marriage License, and Passport services

If you are applying for a marriage license, first-time passport, or recording home and property documents, please be aware that the Douglas County Recording Office reopens at its permanent location of 301 Wilcox Street, Castle Rock, on Wednesday, May 21.

The Recording Office was temporarily relocated beginning in January so the permanent location could undergo necessary renovations. The completion of the project is two weeks ahead of schedule, and the updated office provides expanded customer service windows and an enhanced public research area.

Live assistance is available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. by clicking the online chat feature or by calling the Recording Office at 303-660-7446.

Please note: No passport or marriage license application service is available on Monday, May 19, or Tuesday, May 20. Document recording service is available on Monday, May 19, at 125 Stephanie Place. Document recording service is available on Tuesday, May 20, at 301 Wilcox Street.
