In observance of the New Year’s Day holiday, all Douglas County offices will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. Offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 2, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 on our online services page.
The Fairgrounds are centrally located between Denver and Colorado Springs, one mile east of Interstate 25 in Castle Rock Exit 181. The fairgrounds office is located behind the flagpole in front of the Event Center.
Directions from the North:
Take I-25 south to the Plum Creek Exit #181. Turn left at the signal onto Plum Creek Parkway. Go east on Plum Creek Parkway, approximately one mile to Fairgrounds Road (the 3rd signal light). Turn left on Fairgrounds Road. Click here for driving directions.
