In 2025, your diligent yardwork and wildfire mitigation around your home helped Douglas County convert 32,841 cubic yards of tree limbs and yard debris into mulch – roughly the volume of 10 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
Now, the resident-favorite slash-mulch and green yard waste programs return for the 2026 season at a new location with extended, early-season hours.
The new site, located at 5675 Delva Way in Sedalia, will officially open Friday, April 3, and Saturday, April 4, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
