The Douglas County Slash/Mulch site will open for the 2024 season April 6 through Oct. 26 (weather permitting) on Saturdays only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please note:  mulch is now available for the season.

While you’re reducing fire risk on your property, you can also take steps to safeguard your family in case of a widespread emergency, such as a fast-moving wildfire. Sign up for CodeRED alerts today to ensure you receive notifications when there is an immediate danger in the community.

The Slash-mulch and Green Yard Waste site, located in Castle Rock,  is for Douglas County residents only and is open on Saturdays from April through October.

In case of inclement weather, please call 303-663-6274 to ensure that the site will be open as scheduled.

Douglas County maintains two sites for slash drop-off, listed below.  Please note that only the Castle Rock location will receive green yard waste.

Douglas County does not cut or pick up trees that are on private property.
