Douglas County Homeless Initiative

The Douglas County Homeless Initiative (DCHI) values everyone in our community and uses a person-focused approach to balance compassion and public safety with the complex challenges of the unhoused. DCHI utilizes a collaborative approach between the county, law enforcement, city council members, mayors, non-profit organizations and business owners to develop strategies that help address these challenges. We focus on the possibility that comes with INITIATIVE among everyone working together under our “Four Cs” approach.
