Is it time to renew your vehicle registration? Watch your mailbox.
The Douglas County Office of Clerk and Recorder mails courtesy renewal card reminders to drivers annually – the month before their vehicle registration is due to expire. You may recall the small postcard that also lets you know if you need an emissions test. This year, the look of the card is changing.
Drivers will see redesigned renewal cards arriving in their mailboxes this month. The new card is larger, brighter, and provides clear and convenient options to renew a vehicle registration.
“We want all of our citizens to have an excellent customer service experience,” said Douglas County Deputy of Motor Vehicle, Sheri Davis, “That experience starts with making sure drivers know about the fast and easy ways they can renew their registration.”
The new courtesy renewal cards provide step-by-step instructions for drivers to Skip the Trip by renewing their registration online, at a grocery store kiosk or by mail. Drivers can also visit their local motor vehicle office in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch and Lone Tree where convenient appointments are available.
