Culture

The primary purpose of the Douglas County Cultural Council (DCCC) is to review annual grant applications from eligible arts, science, and cultural organizations.  Douglas County is part of the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), which is a seven-county tax district where one penny is collected for every $10 spent.

The DCCC reviews the grant applications and makes funding recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.  Once approved, grant recommendations are then reviewed by the SCFD Board of Directors for funding approval.
