Phase 3 Construction – Regarding the east side of I-25 improvements to County Line Road, the design team continues to refine the traffic modeling and tweak the preliminary design in order to maximize the traffic operational benefits of the proposed improvements, which will combine the two closely spaced intersection into a more traditional four-legged intersection.  The next steps before completion of the final design involves resolving utility conflicts, acquiring additional survey information, potholing existing utilities, and significant right-of-way acquisition.  Staff is working to find a solution to resolve water quality requirements.  The design team hopes to advance the final design far enough along by end of 2018 so that we can begin to relocate utilities in the second quarter of 2019, and allowing construction to begin in March 2020.
