Schools and Childcare

The Douglas County Health Department works with schools and early childhood education partners to keep students, staff, and our community safe.

Suspected outbreaks of any disease in any setting must be reported to public health immediately.

If you suspect you are experiencing a reportable condition (such as whooping cough, chicken pox, or RSV), have an increase in illness at your facility (including COVID-19 outbreaks), or have a bloodborne pathogen exposure (such as an accidental needle stick), contact us immediately at [email protected] or 720-643-2400. You may also complete an online report for non-urgent concerns.

For animal bites or environmental health questions, visit the Environmental Health site.
