Addressing and Street Naming

Douglas County Street Name Master List

Prior to submitting a subdivision plan for review, please refer to the Douglas County Street Name Reference to ensure there are no conflicts with proposed street names in your plan. Street names included on this list have already been considered, denied, or used, and should not be proposed again. This list is updated automatically.

Douglas County’s Addressing and Street Naming Manual was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners in April 1996.  This manual contains procedures to name streets and create street addresses that guide staff in establishing consistency in addressing.  Accurate addressing ensures that emergency services, such as police, fire and ambulance, are able to locate and quickly respond in an emergency. It helps visitors locate homes or facilities in a new area in a timely fashion.  Proper addressing also makes it easier for postal and private carriers to deliver mail and packages.
