East West Regional Trail

The East/West Regional Trail connects Highlands Ranch, Castle Pines, Lone Tree and Parker. The trail winds through grasslands and oak bluffs, including a thousand acres of the Highlands Ranch Backcountry. Trail connectors are located at Bluffs Regional Park, Highpoint Council Circle, Willow Creek Trail, RidgeGate Parkway, Schweiger Ranch, Rueter-Hess Reservoir, and the Cherry Creek Regional Trail.

Park and Trail Facilities are open for public use! To ensure availability for your event or if you have a group of 15 or more, please make a reservation!

Trail:

Approximately 27 miles one way
2,070 feet of elevation gain from E to W, 2,300 feet of elevation gain from W to E
5,543 lowest elevation – 6,411 highest elevation
Multi-use: hikers, bicyclists, dogs on-leash, equestrian users, strollers

Amenities:

Restrooms are available at the Ridgegate Trailhead, Daniel’s Gate Park, Grigs Trailhead, Redtail Park, Pronghorn Park, Plum Valley Park, and Redstone Park
Car parking is available at the Ridgegate Trailhead, Bluffs Regional Park, Daniel’s Gate Park, Grigs Trailhead, Redtail Park, Pronghorn Park, Plum Valley Park, and Redstone Park
Parking for 3 horse trailers at Bluffs Regional Park and 2 trailers at Grigs Trailhead, asphalt surface parking lot

Open one hour before sunrise or one hour after sunset.
