Project Update

Updated July 1, 2025

PROJECT COMPLETED: Asphalt work was completed at the end of June 2025. Concrete portion of this project was completed during the week of May 25, 2025.

See more information about this project in the “Description” section below.

Description

In the first phase of this project, Douglas County will install traffic safety medians on the southside of East Parker Road at Miller Road. This work will be performed by the County’s concrete repair contractor. Concrete work should take approximately 1 week.

The second phase will occur later in June of 2025 and will consist of rotomilling and paving of East Parker Road and Miller Road to North Delbert Rd. The rotomilling will remove some of the top layer of asphalt, which will take 6 to 8 days to complete and will be performed by the County’s asphalt overlay contractor. Then the paving will occur by 1 to 2 weeks which includes placing the new asphalt overlay; this last phase may take 9 to 12 days to complete.

During construction, access to cross streets will be available, with occasional short delays.

One to two days before the start of each phase of work, variable message boards will be placed at each end of the project to notify drivers of the planned work.
