The Hess Road over Access Road Bridge Improvements Project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 258 feet of bridge structure and roadway over an existing access road. Planned improvements include the removal of portions of the existing structure, asphalt milling, joint sealant replacement, expansion device installation, waterproofing membrane application, hot mix asphalt paving, concrete patching, erosion control measures, and traffic control operations, along with other associated work.
Construction is anticipated to begin in early April 2025, with project completion expected within 90 days of the start date.
The County also anticipates rehabilitation of the Hess Road over Wildlife Crossing Bridge Douhess-0.65 in 2026. This structure is located west of the Access Road Bridge and east of the I-25 and Castle Pines interchange. The same detour and construction phasing will be used for both projects.
