Project Update

Design continues and construction bid is scheduled for Spring 2026.

Description

Beginning in the summer of 2026, Public Works will start reconstructing Highlands Ranch Parkway between Broadway and Burntwood.  The current roadway is the original concrete, and it has exceeded its useful service life.  The cost of maintaining this section of roadway has grown significantly over time, making full reconstruction a more cost-effective long-term solution.

The scope of the project includes removing and replacing the concrete pavement, curb and gutter, and sidewalk.  Pedestrian improvements will be included in the sidewalk reconstruction. A raised median will be installed in the center of the roadway to enhance driver safety.  The bike lane will remain in the reconstructed roadway.
