By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County.  Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open fires, open burning, and the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County.

Project Update

Construction started on December 8, 2025, and is anticipated to be completed by March 8, 2026. See ‘Schedule Section’ below for construction impact.

Description

A new roundabout is being constructed at the intersection of Waterton Road and Eagle River Street.

Schedule

Waterton Road will be reduced to two lanes (one lane in each direction) from four lanes, and the speed limit has been reduced to 30 mph through the construction zone.
