2050 Transportation Plan

Your local government is paving the way for the future with the 2050 Transportation Plan. Using input from community members and local stakeholders, this plan will develop a multi-modal transportation strategy that guides investment of public funds in the transportation system. An effective transportation system will provide better mobility and safety for all users and modes of travel while making sustainable infrastructure investments.

What will the plan do?

  • Set goals for the future of transportation
  • Identify transportation needs based on these goals
  • Develop actions and projects to address these needs
  • Prioritize projects
  • Identify funding strategies and an implementation plan
Review the Draft 2050 Transportation Plan

The public draft is ready for your feedback

Over the past year, we’ve been working with residents, community groups and local leaders to shape the 2050 Douglas County Transportation Plan. This plan lays out a vision for how we’ll invest in roads, trails, transit and other transportation improvements over the next 25 years.

What’s in the Plan

  • Projects to enhance safety and reduce severe crashes
  • Expanding multimodal options like trails, bike infrastructure and transit
  • Improving roadway maintenance and connectivity
  • Strategies to support older adults and people without access to a car
  • Preparing for future growth and emergencies

We’re asking for your feedback on the draft plan to make sure it reflects what matters most to you. Public comments will be accepted using the form below through Saturday, Nov. 15.
