Curb, Gutter or Sidewalk Repair Form
Requested repairs are inspected and rated as low, medium or high priority depending upon the condition of the concrete and potential hazards to pedestrians. Work is scheduled based upon condition. High priority repairs are scheduled to be completed first. Low and medium priority repair problems are not made until just prior to scheduled surface maintenance work commences in the area. The following criteria are used to prioritize requests for sidewalk, curb and gutter repairs in unincorporated Douglas County:
Low Priority – repairs consisting of cosmetic flaws and small cracks in the concrete. Low priorities are not considered for repair or replacement but will be monitored on a yearly basis. Curbs, gutters, and sidewalks are inspected and rated as a low, medium or high priority depending upon the condition of the concrete and potential hazard to pedestrians. Work is scheduled based on condition, with high priority repairs scheduled for completion first.
Medium Priority – repairs consisting of concrete areas containing several cracks and/or holes in the gutter resulting in moderate amounts of loss of structural integrity.
High Priority – repairs consisting of sidewalk deformations that may cause tripping hazards for pedestrians or severe deterioration of curb and gutter that allows water to permeate under the roadway. Concrete flaws rated at a high priority will be immediately evaluated and replaced as soon as possible.
