Your Board of Douglas County Commissioners is aware of community conversations regarding entertainment that’s allowed at Douglas County facilities. Did you know that the Board has updated its facility rental policy to allow only family-friendly, G-rated performances? Join us for the next Live Town Hall.
Learn about the updated policy and ask your questions from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, by phone, online, or in person at the Philip S. Miller Building, 100 Third St. in Castle Rock.
To join online, visit douglas.co.us/townhall. Join via phone by calling 833-380-0668, or simply answer the phone when we call to invite you to join us. To receive a call just before a Live Town Hall begins, visit douglas.co.us/townhall to register.
“We want to update the community about the work that’s been done to ensure that those who lease our Fairgrounds and Event Center recognize their responsibility to deliver a family-friendly event,” said Commissioner Abe Laydon. “Upholding your Constitutional First Amendment Rights while protecting young people remains our goal of your Board of County Commissioners.”
Live Town Halls differ from a business meeting or public hearing during which attendees can sign up to speak for three minutes. Live Town Halls are an opportunity to learn about a topic and ask questions of a panel. The Board will take questions from attendees in the live audience, on the phone and online.
