By order of Sheriff Darren Weekly, Stage 1 Fire Restrictions are in place for unincorporated areas of Douglas County. Ordinance No. O-012-004 restricts open fires, open burning, and the use of fireworks in the unincorporated areas of Douglas County. It’s a hands-on way for you to engage in the County’s governance and serve your community.
Douglas County is actively seeking volunteers to fill vacancies on the following boards and commissions:
“Volunteer members provide subject matter expertise and experience that is vital to the County’s decision-making process,” said the Board of Douglas County Commissioners. “The County and its citizens greatly benefit from this service.”
Do you have skills or interests that don’t match the volunteer opportunities listed? We want to hear from you. Douglas County accepts applications on an ongoing basis for future vacancies on nearly 20 different advisory bodies that span a variety of topics and disciplines. Applications will remain under consideration for one year from the application date.
