The Douglas County General Assistance Program is a limited fund that is intended to help with a one-time need to address issues of health, safety and/or well-being. To be eligible for this help, applicants must show how they will meet their future expenses.
Due to the limited funding for this program, assistance is generally not more than $250-$500 and applicants must be able to verify that they have the balance of the amount owed or have already paid it.

To apply you must complete an application for general assistance. You can call our office at 303-688-4825 to request an application be mailed or emailed or you can pick one up at one of our locations, 4400 Castleton Court, Castle Rock or 200 E. Highlands Ranch Pkwy, Suite 101, Highlands Ranch.
The application must be fully completed and signed. Applicants may need to speak with a member of our staff to review the information on the application and provide additional information or documentation.
After you complete the application, email it to [email protected] along with required verification. The income limit for this program is 150% Federal Poverty Level.

*For each additional household member after eight, add $687.50.
