The Seniors’ Council promotes Living Well/Aging Well™ in Douglas County, Colorado.

Meeting Information

The Seniors’ Council meets monthly at various locations throughout the County.  Meetings are NORMALLY held on the first Thursday of each month.  The business part of the meeting is 9:30 – 10 a.m. and the community presentation is 10:15 – 11:30 a.m.  There is no cost to attend the meeting and guests are always welcome.

Does it really make a difference what you use to delve into a good story or catch up on current events?   Or if you don’t read at all, does it matter?  You bet it does!

Shannon Basher, a Librarian at the Castle Pines Library, will share the latest information on all the health benefits of reading just a few minutes each day will provide.  Plus, she’ll present some interesting research on the best way to read to gain the maximum benefit from our reading experience.Don’t miss out on the next exciting chapter of one of the most enjoyable ways to stay healthy!
