Have you ever noticed the negative stereotypes about older people that portray getting older as a time of decline and deterioration?  Or experienced ageism – discrimination based upon age – in the workplace?  Or been told that older people represent a drain on our economy?

Changing the Narrative in Colorado is an initiative to positively impact the way Coloradans talk, think and act about aging, older adults and ageism.  Janine Vanderburg advocates for a more enlightened attitude towards aging through her work with Changing the Narrative.  She’ll share her knowledge and expertise in how to be pioneers in the movement to shift public perception about the value of older adults and our contributions to the community.
