What is an Aligning for Success Meeting?

Facilitated Family Engagement Meetings provide families that have an open child welfare case, with planning sessions aimed at resolving safety concerns as efficiently and effectively as possible. These meetings are designed to promote the safety, stability, and well-being of children and their caretakers through live decision making, while honoring the family’s voice. Through the use of a structured framework, trained facilitators offer a neutral perspective to help guide the meeting and ensure:

ASF Meetings are initiated at the time the assessment is opened to a case, and then subsequently held every 90 days while the case remains open with the Department.
