Proposed Revisions to Chapter 5 and Chapter 8

Public Works Engineering is proposing revisions to the Douglas County Roadway Design & Construction Standards Manual, Chapter 5 and Chapter 8.  These chapters will be available for review and comment from Friday, March 29  to Monday, May 13, 2019.  Please send written comments to  The proposed revisions are available for review and comment, at no charge, by clicking the links above or hard copies are available upon request at the Public Work Engineering Office in Castle Rock or by calling 303.660.7490.

An Open House to discuss the Chapter 5 & 8 Revisions will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 3:30 -5:30 p.m. at the Philip S. Miller Building, Hearing Room, 100 Third Street in Castle Rock.  No formal presentation will be made.

Roadway Standards are the minimum design and technical criteria for the analysis and design of roadway facilities.  All subdivisions, resubdivisions, planned developments, or any other proposed construction submitted for acceptance under the provisions of the Douglas County Subdivision Resolution (hereinafter called Resolution), or 35-acre land survey plats, shall include adequate roadway system analysis and appropriate roadway system design.  Such analysis and design shall conform to the criteria set forth herein.
