Slash-Mulch

The Douglas County slash-mulch site has moved to a new location at 5675 Delva Way, Sedalia, CO. Douglas County will open the new site for the disposal of tree limbs, trees and green yard waste.

While you’re reducing fire risk on your property, you can also take steps to safeguard your family in case of a widespread emergency, such as a fast-moving wildfire. Sign up for DougCoAlerts today to ensure you receive notifications when there is an immediate danger in the community.

The slash-mulch and green yard waste site is for Douglas County residents only. Dumping is allowed only while the facility is open and staffed.

  • Message boards and staff will direct traffic during the transition to the new location. Please follow posted signs and instructions.
  • Douglas County does not cut or pick up trees on private property.
  • Drop-offs from contractors will not be accepted.
  • In case of inclement weather, please call 303-663-6274 to ensure that the site will be open as scheduled.

There will no longer be two separate dumping areas for slash and green yard waste. All materials will be placed in one designated pile, except sod, which will have a separate designated area.
