The Green Yard Waste Program will reopen for the 2025 season on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
The Douglas County residents can dispose of “Green Yard Waste” at the County’s Slash/Mulch site at 1400 Caprice Drive in Castle Rock.
No actual compost will be on the site nor will the County be actively composting material, however, the County will be contracting to compost yard waste that is delivered by residents.
In case of inclement weather, please call 303-663-6274 to ensure that the site will be open as scheduled.

Dumping is ONLY allowed while the facility is staffed on Saturdays from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., April 5, 2025, through Oct. 25, 2025, at which time the site will close for the season. Drop-offs will not be accepted from contractors
