Current Dam information:
- FP-B1 Baldwin Gulch Dam: Design underway examining a much more cost-effective solution that involves less disruptive construction efforts, lower risk, lower O&M complexity, and reclassifies the existing structure as non-jurisdictional. Previous design and analysis efforts returned results that were undesirable to the community and the County but did provide substantial data for even more refined solutions.
- FP-S1 Stroh Dam: A new spillway will be constructed more in line with the natural channel at a lower elevation to reduce the hazard and reclassify as non-jurisdictional. Work will commence in mid to late 2020.
- WCC 7: A new spillway will be constructed closer to the natural channel at a lower elevation to reduce the hazard and reclassify as non-jurisdictional. Work will commence in late 2020 or 2021.
- All dams will continue to see standard operations and maintenance as they have previously; pursuant all applicable State Engineer’s Office regulations. If you have a county dam on your property, you are encouraged to contact DC at your convenience:
