In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all Douglas County Government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. Offices will reopen on Monday, Dec. 1, for normal business. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.
Due to mild weather, the 2025 November Fall leaf drop off extended through Nov. 22
As the seasons change, so do your yardwork needs. You can now keep leaves out of the landfill by taking them to Douglas County’s new Fall Leaf Collection site, open Saturdays in November from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Nov. 22 at 1400 Caprice Drive in Castle Rock.
Leaves, slash, and green yard waste like grass clippings will be accepted at the County’s slash-mulch site from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 25. Then, only leaves will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through Nov. 22.
