In observance of the Juneteenth federal holiday, all Douglas County Government offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19. Offices will reopen on Friday, June 20, for normal business. Ballot drop boxes and VSPC Services (opening Monday, June 16) will still be available. Many County services are available 24/7 by visiting online services.
The Board of County Commissioners believes in open and transparent government and, as such, requires that the business of County government should be open to effective public review. This includes access to information as well as the knowledge of the ability to participate in public discussion so that diverse opinions and ideas may be heard and considered.
